In
September, 1997, Generali Belgium and Villaggio Globale
International, an Italian company specialized in organizing
large-scale cultural events, founded the npa art media.
The
purpose of art media is to hold large international exhibitions
and to position itself as a multi-functional cultural centre.
An exhibition entitled Art Deco Boemia

Wielemans mansion. It was a unique showing of precious objects
primarily from the Prague Museum of Decorative Arts and was highly
appreciated by the public.
Since then numerous international exhibitions have taken place

architect. More than 200 objects, commissioned by the Cappellin
and Venini glassworks, were exhibited.

cocktail parties, conferences, meetings seminars and other events
for companies, associations and private individuals at its 800 m²
cultural centre.
Wielemans
House
The
building was designed by the architect Adrien Blomme, in the
style of the 1930s. Many features of art deco, such as geometric
lines and a linear structure, are set alongside elements of
Moorish style, such as the patio and the different types of
ceramic tiling: azulejos, tiras verdes and alambrillas.
The
building's restoration, which was undertaken by the insurance
company GENERALI BELGIUM, was carried out by an Italian company
led by the architect Morozzo della Rocca, has rejuvenated the
aura of this architectural gem, listed by Monuments et Sites since
1994. This cultural project, underwritten by Generali Belgium, was
awarded the Caius prize in 1997 by the Prométhéa Foundation and the "EUROPA NOSTRA" award.
